My grandparents raised me on their cattle ranch, helping to cultivate my love for all things western. It was an immediate and intense infatuation, an inseparable part of my being. The western lifestyle became my identity.

I assisted my grandfather with chores on the ranch, such as weaning calves, bottle-feeding, bush hogging, and loading cattle for the next bucking bull show. These activities brought me great joy. Each of my photographs incorporates this lifestyle in some way. While not all of my photographs include horses or cows, the style of each image evokes memories of what I once called home.
